Our founder Barbara Aydin is the quintessential Currently woman.A fashion business maven, she has been living in Turkey for over 30 years, producing and developing for the luxury market. Her work has allowed her to travel the world and gain deep knowledge of its textile cultures and traditions. Currently is about her love of the craftsmanship and free spirit of the Mediterranean. Living a nomadic lifestyle between the vibrant heart of Istanbul and her house on the Aegaean coast of Turkey, she has a deep understanding and appreciation of the rich craft heritage that is still alive in its people.
For Barbara, Currently is more than a brand. It’s her own wardrobe. It’s a collection of timeless pieces that last for more than a season and bring a lifetime of joy.
Currently stands for bohemian chic and excellent quality. We represent mindful luxury: All of our designs are produced locally in the Mediterranean with a high degree of handcrafting and traditional technique. Our products are precious, unique, and only available in limited quantities or made to order. Only natural materials of the highest quality are used.
Currently is careful to adhere to ethical production methods and implements an eco-conscious approach to garment production, limiting our footprint and keeping wastage at a minimum wherever possible.
