For more than 30 years, I've been living and working in Turkey, developing and producing collections for some of the world's leading luxury brands. This journey has taken me across many countries and introduced me to remarkable textile traditions, craftsmanship and the people who keep these skills alive.

Barbara Aydın is the natural expression of everything I've learned and loved along the way. More than a brand, it's my own wardrobe. A collection of season-less pieces designed to be worn, travelled with and loved for years rather than just one season.

Living between the energy of Istanbul and the quiet beauty of the Aegean coast, I'm inspired by a slower, more thoughtful way of dressing. My work reflects the relaxed elegance of the Mediterranean, combining timeless silhouettes with exceptional quality and carefully considered details.

Traditional handcrafts, particularly Oya, are at the heart of what I do. Rather than preserving these techniques as they have always been, I enjoy translating them into contemporary pieces, giving them a new place in a modern wardrobe. Every garment is made to order or produced in very limited quantities, allowing us to focus on quality rather than volume.

   

                 

 

We work exclusively with natural materials and collaborate with skilled local makers who share our commitment to craftsmanship. Producing in small quantities allows us to minimise waste and create pieces with intention, care and longevity.

I believe clothing should feel personal. That's why I enjoy working closely with my customers, offering guidance on fit, styling and subtle customisation to create pieces that truly become part of their lives.
